Time to Plant the Seeds and Begin the Nuturing!

When the "powers that be" have become deaf to the voices of their constituents, it is time to take a new path on the road to our future. We are at the crossroads NOW.
It's obvious that it is difficult to move against awesome physical power & almost unlimited resources...what are our alternatives?
We must become as self-sufficient as possible in Our Lives.
It's Simple....only requires a change of MIND.
(1) Grow vegetables, herbs and fruit & nut trees. Do it in planters if you are in the city. Care for pets - and chickens..goats...bees...
(2) Beautify your neighborhood. Meet your neighbors. Help take care of the elderly and the kids. Offer a helping hand. Volunteer. Speak words of a bright future IF we remember our humanity and stop & smell the roses.
(3) Support - with your buying power - ONLY businesses that represent the world you want to live in. It may be more expensive in the short run, but as we divert our dollars, then those businesses will grow and the products will become more prolific and less expensive.
(4) Become energy independent & recycle. Buy that solar power equipment and hybrid car. Don't waste water. Use a good water filter rather than drink spring water taken from the earth. Keep a compost pile.
(5) Practice Natural Health and live a healthy lifestyle. This includes nature walks, pick-up-the-trash walks, dancing, Tai Chi or Capoiera, playing and/or listening to music that is cultural and inspiring, use of herbal products & vitamins as your first line of defense, and going to "alternative" health practitioners (Wellness practioners !)such as acupuncturists, massage therapists, chiropractors, etc.
(6) Create new traditions by giving Christmas Gifts that are contributions Better World organizations such as environmental groups and save the children programs. Buy art work from local artists and give tickets to local arts events as presents. Make your consumer buying power save the planet in others behalf !
(7) Devote at least 30 minutes a day to reading/studying about the earth. This includes meditating on your vision of a perfect world, reading about how to garden or build a house out of natural materials, planning a long-term financial plan for changing your lifestyle to be more harmonious with nature, researching other ideas & visions to improve the earth, and make affirmations that make your commitment stronger in your personal dedication to the journey...with the goal of arriving by 2012. That's When the Great Cycle of the Mayan Calendar ends and the New Age truly begins.
(8) Be a Teacher wherever you go. Spread the word that the future looks great because we already have all the answers. The only thing we have to do is Follow Our Hearts....and make our everyday life a force that brings our Vision into manifestation, one person/one act at a time.
YOU HAVE TIME TO MAKE IT HAPPEN IF YOU MAKE THE COMMITMENT NOW.
What alternative is there?
Rise above the fear and anger. Remember that we have a magical existence on this planet as it flies through the galaxy - a galaxy we are discovering to be more incredible and amazing every day ! We are truly on the brink of an incredible leap in human consciousness and understanding. It's time to drop our ties with the old. Do not waste energy fighting, but fly forward into the coming beauty. When we withdraw our energy from the "old", we will be able to provide the "food & fuel" to activate the new.
It is our destiny. It follows the initial awakening of the Sixties. We know what to do. Now we need to just do it. Our day has come.
