DIAMANO COURA in the Senegalese Wolof language means "those who bring the message." The Directors, Naomi Washington Diouf and Dr. Zak Diouf are, respectively, from Liberia and Senegal. Founded in 1975, Diamano Coura embodies an entourage of carefully trained male and female senior company dancers, actors, singers, acrobats, musicians, stiltwalkers, and visual artists from Mali, Senegal, Guinea, the Ivory Coast, Liberia, Gambia and the United States. You can find them at the Alice Arts Center in Oakland where they have been teaching and performing for many years.

Check out CONGOLESE DANCE & DRUMMING founded by Malonga Casquelourd. Malonga was Director of Fua Dia Congo, a bay area performance group featuring Congolese movement, music & culture.
SPIRIT DRUMZ African-Diasporic art & percussion. Founded and driven by Afia Walking Tree who teaches both individuals and groups using holistic principles. Held at the Davis Street Underground(A Community Drum Center for Women & Youth) at 3575 Davis Street, in the Fruitvale District of Oakland.
The ETHNIC ARTS INSTITUTE offers African and Hawaiian dance, music, and song classes for all ages. The Institute is home to two Bay Area dance troupes; "Halau Hula O Manu O'o" and "The Ethnic Arts Dance Ensemble".
RHYTHM & MOTION DANCE & FITNESS STUDIO has lots of great Ethnic Dance Classes for adults & youth. Located 1133 Mission Street in S.F., but classes also at 5 Locations in the Bay area. Check Them Out !!!
